Whether you've never ridden a horse or are a seasoned rider, we look forward to welcoming you at Canty Rune Training Stables. We have fun and kind lesson horses to help advance your skills. They're sweet and safe for beginners, and skilled enough for advanced riders to enjoy and progress.
So much more than just riding...
Our program produces confident and well-rounded horsemen, by teaching not just how to ride, but also how to groom, tack-up, and care for the horse's health and well-being.
For riding, we start with fundamental skills on the longe line, including no-stirrup and no-reins skills for strength, balance, and harmony with the horse. From there we steadily advance to independent riding skills, and then on to more specialized skills such as jumping and dressage.
Adult Beginners Welcome
We pride ourselves on creating a safe and engaging learning environment for adults, including complete beginners or "re-riders" who rode years past. We have full-sized horses and tack so you will be comfortable.
Passionate Kids Taught Here
Whether your kid has been horse-crazy for years, or just discovered their interest in horses, we welcome them to our barn!
We have safe horses and passionate instructors, and protocols that emphasize safety and fun! We foster a healthy barn community of friendship and teamwork. Most importantly, we promote horse care and health above all else - so kids learn responsibility and compassion, not just riding.
Terms & Policies
- Students must treat all horses and humans with care and respect, and follow all barn rules and directions from instructors.
- Students must arrive on time and in correct attire (see FAQ).
- A no-show/late cancellation fee of $25 is charged if a lesson is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24-hours advance notice.
- Our lessons are rain-or-shine. Weather events do not cancel lessons. If conditions are not safe to ride, we will do a horsemanship lesson.
- Make-up lessons are not guaranteed, but will be arranged if schedule and horse availability allows. Any make-up lessons must be taken within 30 days of the originally scheduled lesson.
